A short (1.5 hrs) but good session after work today.

The weather had been miserable all day, absolutely chucking it down, but the wind started picking up in the afternoon and by about 6.00pm it actually stopped raining so I managed to get myself motivated and out on the water.

it was certainly worth it. Perfectly powered up with my big board and 5.7m sail. On the first run I was straight in the straps, made about 6 jumps, each one getting bigger off the waves on the way out, then into a powerful carve on the face of a steep bit of swell, which I then managed to ride all the way back into the beach. From there it was staight into a nice carve gybe on the inside and off I went again. Thats pretty much how the whole fast and furious session went. Non-stop all the time, with some decent jumps on the way out, a good gybe out the back and a few decent rides on the way in.

I did make a couple of really slick slam gybes on the inside when there just wasn't enough room to carve between the waves. and even a couple of tacks just to mix it up a little.

One wave did decide to get the better of me halfway through the session, and then a few of its friends decided to join in and wash me around and try to break my kit for a bit, but you have to take a rinsing now and then.

All in all, excellent.
